With whom to establish meetings

Hey dears….

Once again I understood that the person from the company that you are meeting with, depends from which department and what is his / her decision making power. A small tip…. Do not ever meet with no one from the accounting department! Seriously… You know what’s gonna be their answer…. “We don’t have money. It is the crises period.” It was the answer that I received for example from Jolly Alon Hotel… So, if you want to establish a meeting with the company, try to reach this persons:

1. General Director / Executive Director

2. Human Resources Director

3. Marketing Director

This are the persons that are related with our benefits that we provide to companies. And….!!!!! Try to reach them in the exact order…. the last to be from marketing department… although he might think that we want to propose them some media appearances…

I had some interesting meetings this month. 1st was at StarNet selling them the National Partnership for AIESEC Moldova. The coolest question ever hear was: “Can you make us a discout?”. So, as an organization not for profit… well… how can we make discount… if all our income goes for project investments…. It was interesting… I felt like on the central market selling something. On the negotiation table were 6 persons from the marketing department and all of them were asking questions randomly that I could manage to answer all of them…. So…. don’t think, you, member from Corporate Relations department, are somehow different from those from the central market… It’s just different services that we sell… but the approach is the same… more or less personalized…. So, don’t be shy to call yourself a SALE PERSON!
